OTC Distinguished Achievement Award for Companies, Organizations, and Institutions

We were granted the OTC Distinguished Achievement Award for Companies, Organizations, and Institutions as recognition of the pioneering technologies developed for production in the pre-salt layer. The Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is the world's largest offshore oil and gas production business event.

Our technical capacity acknowledged

We have been acknowledged for our leadership and dedication in developing and disseminating knowledge about petroleum geology. The AAPG Distinguished Service Award for 2017 was granted to one of our geologists by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG) and is one of the most important in the area in the world. This was the first time that a Brazilian professional got this distinction.

In 2016, in Dubai, the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), one of the most important entities of the world oil and gas industry, awarded four engineers of our workforce with the SPE Regional Award – South America and Caribbean. The award recognizes the contribution engineering segment professionals have made to the development of the offshore sector.

We were also granted the 2017 Regional Management and Information Award – South America and Caribbean Region by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), one of the most important entities of the world oil and gas industry. We won the award in the Management and Information category with a program that reduced well construction costs.

Technological innovation with partners

With projects developed by our researchers and partners, we won the three categories of the Technological Innovation award, in the years 2016, 2017 and 2018, organized by the National Petroleum Agency (ANP). These are state-of-the-art solutions that have contributed to increasing the efficiency of the company’s offshore activities, as well as to reduce operating costs.

Brand that represents Brazil

For the second consecutive year we won the Folha de S.Paulo newspaper’s “Folha Top of Mind” award in the “Brand that represents Brazil” category. This recognition reinforces the importance of our presence in the daily life of society.

Leader among the top industries

We are the first among the 50 largest industries operating in Brazil, according to the Exame magazine's 2014 Best and Biggest annual ranking. The survey included data from over 3,000 companies among the largest private groups in the country. Petrobras Distribuidora ranks first in Wholesale (by market share), and first in the net sales, wealth creation per employee, and trade per sales rankings.

Second place among the companies of the dreams of young people

We were ranked second in the "Company of the Dreams of Young People" survey, carried out by Cia de Talentos, in partnership with Nextview People. More than 50,000 university students and new grads from all over Brazil answered the survey.

2014 Transparency Trophy

We are in the ranking of public companies with revenues in excess of R$5 billion, according to the 2014 Transparency Trophy. In its 18th edition, this is a recognition of the companies' transparency in relation to the information provided in financial statements. The award is organized by the National Association of Executives in Finance, Administration and Accounting (Anefac), in collaboration with the Research Institute of Accounting, Actuarial and Financial Foundation (Fipecafi), and Serasa Experian.

Época Negócios 360º - Best Company in the Oil and Gas Industry

We were granted the Best Company in the Oil and Gas Industry Award from the Época Negócios 360o yearbook, announced in September 2013. We were chosen for the second consecutive year by the publication, which showcases the 250 best companies operating in various industries in Brazil, analyzing all aspects of the business.

Seventh most valuable brand in 2014

We were elected the seventh most valuable Brazilian brand in 2014. This is the seventh time Petrobras appears among the top ten of the Interbrand ranking.
